In 2024, we wanted to equip one of our ships with box coolers with an alternative to anodes to protect the box coolers. That’s how we came across ultrasonic solutions. H2O Marine was one of the suppliers. The reason we ultimately chose them was firstly because they could offer it at a competitive price and secondly because of the service they provided. They think along with us and are open to feedback, which gives us the feeling that we were truly working together on a solution.

The product has proven itself so far, as we no longer see a reduction in cooling capacity on this ship, which was the case before. The ship will be taken out of the water in November of this year, and then we’ll see what the situation is with the contamination, but so far we’re very pleased with it.

Although we’ve already made progress, we still want to tackle the follow-up system together with H2O. We’ve now solved the problem with the box coolers, but we see that we still have work to do in the rest of the system. We’d love to work even further toward a comprehensive solution, but we’ve noticed that H2O is eager to collaborate with us on this so we can both truly benefit. They’re a collaborative partner we’re happy to have on board. They’re strong communicators and quick to follow up. That helps us move forward.
